Composition of Togok Catch in Kuala Tungkal, Tanjung Jabung Barat, Jambi

Togok is one of the fishing gear that operated in Kuala Tungkal, Tanjung Jabung Barat Regency, this form a conical net body whose arms are tied to two poles and success catching it relies on currents, togok used by Tungkal fishermen catch rebon shrimp (Acetes japonicas) but operation, there many other types catch. This study aims determine main catch, bycatch, discards, size as well number catches. research was conducted April 5 – July 10, 2021. using experimental methods, namely conducting direct operations with local fishermen. The results percentage 28%, bycatch 51%, discard 21%. For species (crustacean), sizes have reached maturity or suitable for while fish not yet mature.
